Haas team principal Guenther Steiner says he is confident the team will announce its 2017 driver lineup following next months Italian Grand Prix. The American outfit is yet to confirm whether Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez will stay at the team next season but Steiner hopes that an announcement will be made around Monza. With Williams, McLaren and Renault among the teams yet to decide their driver lineups for next year, the likes of Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen could be available. While other driver options could open up, Steiner insists Haas wants to avoid uncertainty and is unwilling to wait around.I dont think you want to waste this long, he said. If you know where you are its better than this uncertainty. We are very confident we can say after Monza.Last year we said the same that we would tell the drivers and we did it -- maybe a few weeks late but we didnt wait until [the winter]. Normally we do what we say, or we try to. It gives the whole team certainty and you can focus on the car and performance.Haas is set to introduce a major upgrade package at the Singapore Grand Prix -- including a new front wing, floor and rear brake ducts -- as the team looks to challenge McLaren and Toro Rosso and build upon its eighth-place in the constructors standings.Although most teams have switched their development focus onto 2017, Steiner says Haas wants to use the opportunity to improve its manufacturing process in preparation for next season to avoid being caught out.We just want to get better at manufacturing, the Italian said. We just changed our internal organisation, so these parts were developed sometime in March, April, and just went into production a little bit later, and therefore they come later. We didnt want to rush them because theres no point. We want to get better at our game as well for next year because the second year is the most difficult one for everybody. We are doing as much as possible not to make mistakes in the second year because everybodys out waiting for us to say we told you so -- you guys basically! Its you people.
