LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mizzou Volleyball (21-4, 12-1 SEC) put together one of its most complete matches of the year on Sunday, sweeping No. 18 Kentucky (25-18, 25-21, 25-19) in straight sets.The Tigers triumph inside Memorial Coliseum clinched a season sweep over the Wildcats, while earning two Top 25 ranked victories in the process. Mizzous offense was outstanding from the start on Sunday, as it finished with 46 kills on .382 hitting. It marked the Tigers top team hitting percentage this year since Sept. 30 at Arkansas.The Tigers impressive 3-0 victory over Kentucky also established their 12th overall sweep this year and ninth sweep in conference action. Finally, it marked Mizzous first sweep on the road over a Top 20 ranked opponent since Nov. 15, 2013, at Florida.The Tigers were sensational in Sundays opening set, tallying 13 kills on .480 hitting. Redshirt junior Melanie Crow (Wildwood, Mo.) was virtually unstoppable, producing a team high seven kills on .600 hitting in Mizzous first set triumph.Crows hot start against the Wildcats also secured her 300th kill this season. Mizzous efficient attack continued in the second set, as it recorded 21 kills on .413 hitting. Senior Carly Kan (Honolulu) recorded seven kills on .500 hitting in the set, securing her seventh straight match with double-digit kills.Redshirt junior Kira Larson (Farggo, N.ddddddddddddD.) and Crow also aided the Tigers impressive offense, producing five and four second set kills, respectively. Crow joined Kan with 11 kills after two sets played. The Wildwood, Mo., native clinched her 17th double-digit kill performance this year, including her eighth 10-plus strike effort in SEC play.The Tigers wrapped up their impressive effort in Lexington with a 25-19 match-clinching third set.
